What is somatic practice?
Somatic practice is any technique that works through the body — breath, movement, sensation, awareness — to shift how your nervous system is running, rather than trying to think your way to calm. It's the foundation underneath yoga, breathwork, and body-based approaches like Somatic Experiencing, distilled here into simple, practical tools built for the workplace. These are skillful mind-body interventions that help your body unlock your executive functioning — not mysticism, just practice.
Is this for you?
feel scattered at the end of a day that never really stopped
notice tension in your body during meetings but aren't sure what to do with it
want to make better decisions under pressure — not just faster ones
are curious about how your body and nervous system affect the way you work
just want time to breathe, move, and reset — this is it
What happens in the room
No yoga experience needed. No special clothes. Just you, showing up curious.
Arrive and settle
We begin with a short body scan and breathwork practice. Simple, grounding, immediate. You'll feel the shift within the first few minutes.
Support your nervous system
Help your mind and body complete a stress response cycle to unlock your executive functioning in your nervous system. This feels like unblocking flow and creative thinking.
Regulate
Gentle somatic practices you can use anywhere — at your desk, before a hard meeting, or when you're spiraling.
Integrate and take it with you
Leave with a personal toolkit of 2–3 practices that fit your life. No homework, no apps — just things that work.

Common questions
Do I need yoga experience?
Not at all. This isn't a yoga class — it's a somatic self-care session. All practices are accessible, seated or standing, and require no special experience or flexibility.
What should I wear?
Whatever you wore to work is fine. You won't be asked to get on the floor or change clothes.
How long is it?
Sessions run 30 minutes. You'll leave with time to spare before your next meeting.
Is this a one-time thing?
This session stands alone, but it's also the beginning of something. Many participants continue with ongoing sessions or private coaching.
Will I have to share or talk about personal stuff?
No. Everything is voluntary. You can participate as much or as little as you like — the practices work either way.
My team is too busy for this right now — can it still work?
This isn't a pitch to slow down. It's built for people who move fast — the practices fit inside the pace you already have, not instead of it. Even the busiest team benefits most from this.
You deserve time that's actually for you.
